Hillhead Caravan Park is a fantastic touring base, as the
famed castle trail is rite on your doorstep - leading to your fairy
tale castles like Craigievar and great historic houses like Haddo,
where Prince Edward often performs in theatrical productions in
the hall.
The only malt whisky trail in the world takes you into the Grampian
Highlands with its beautiful rugged scenery. The Royal Deeside and
the Queen's Scottish residence at Balmoral are but a short drive
away, taking you through both Donside and Deeside.
The rivers Don and Dee give you excellent fishing opportunities.
If golf is your thing then choose from twenty five beautiful courses
all within half an hours drive, and three of these are virtually
on your doorstep.
The coastline offers glistening beaches, spectacular cliff top
views and quaint fishing villages such as Pennan as seen in Local
Hero.
Our local market town of Inverurie is an ideal shopping centre,
with friendly people and plenty of parking places, and without the
hustle and bustle of the big city. Aberdeen itself gives you theatres,
restaurants, museums, parks, nightclubs and of course, its own fantastic
range of shops.
